Bhikiyasain- The Western Tehsil Of Almora,
Confluence of Ramgnga and Gagas River, Bhikiyassain is on the Old route of Ramnagar - Badrintah. IT IS PLACED IN CENTER OF THREE RIVER THAT IS RAMGANGA, GAGAAS AND NORARA.This is very nice place for those who love adventures water game like river rafting. fishing is also a fun here. Best season to be there is September to March...... if you are non veg you can enjoy fish hunting. bhikiyasen around 950m from the sea height .Bhikiyasen 55kms.,from Ranikhet is famous for its Maha Shivratri fair.

A small but very useful introduction of a relatively unknown place. To add to it -
Bhikiyasain is a small valley lying in the western part of Almora, boundaries of which touches teh Garhwal divison. It was a separate constituency till last year but now it has been merged with Salt (The irony of migration of people from hills to plains)
It is at 850 meters from MSL and connected by Ramnaagr by the famous old Badrinath road. However, due to political negligence this area was not given priority and thus is relatively under developed, despite being part of old trade route to Ramanagar and Bhawar area.
Though it was declared tehsil in 1986, still you will not find any reasonably OK hotel or govt guest house to spend a night at Bhikiaysain - hence travelers be careful.
Want to go fishing, be aware do not use illegal means like electric / dynamite etc. You may also be disappointed in hot summers to see the dying rivers, which gets over flooded in monsoons.
This place is 54 kms from Ranikhet and 93 kms from Ramnagar, the nearest places to have comfortable night stays.
